Password Management Changes

As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security—and in alignment with Nasdaq’s corporate policy—we are implementing a new password requirement for all users of our platform.

Starting on Thursday, August 21 2025, users will have the opportunity to select one of the following options: click here to make a selection between:

  • Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Your password will not need to be updated at all with this option but you will need to use one of the approved authenticator services to log in each time
  • Participating in a 180-day password rotation cycle: You will not be required to use additional authentication services upon each login, but your password will need to be updated every 180 days

Users that do not make an selection will automatically be placed in the 180-day password rotation group. However, you will be able to change your selection at any time. 

Making Your Selection

To select your preferred password management option, navigate to System Preferences, make your selection under the General Preferences section, and click Save Preferences.

If you choose MFA, you will be prompted to finish setting up your MFA connection upon your next login. If you wish to finish setup right away, log out of the platform and log back in. 

Multi-Factor Authentication Options and Setup

If you choose employ Multi-Factor Authentication, you will need to select from three options to complete your authentication set up. 

Once you have selected and successfully set up your preferred authenticator, it will no longer appear among the list of set up options. You do not need to set up an additional authenticator. Simply select "Set up later" to continue logging in with your selected authenticator. 

Google Authenticator

Setting up and Activating Google Authenticator

  1. Using your browser, navigate to the NDW Login Page
  2. Fill in your NDW credentials and click Sign In
  3. Click the Set up button located below the Google Authenticator option
     

  4. On the Set Up Google Authenticator screen, click the device type icon. Click Next. A barcode will appear on your screen
  5. Install the Google Authenticator app on your device via one of the following links:
    1. iPhone App
    2. Android App
    3. Chrome Extension
  6. Open the Google Authenticator app.
  7. Tap Scan a Barcode. (You might need to install a barcode scanner app; follow the prompts and then re-tap Scan a Barcode.)
    1. Via the iPhone App, click the + icon in the bottom right, and then select "Scan QR Code"
       

    2. Via the Chrome Extension, you will click this button to scan your code
       

  8. Scan the code and click Next
  9. Type the Google Authenticator code that appears in your Authenticator app, enter it into the Enter Code field on the NDW login page, and click Verify.

Logging In with Google Authenticator

  1. Using your browser, navigate to the NDW Login Page
  2. Fill in your NDW credentials and click Sign In
  3. Open the Google Authenticator app.
  4. Type the Google Authenticator code that appears in your Authenticator app, enter it into the Enter Code field on the NDW login page, and click Verify.

Okta Verify

Installing Okta Verify

  1. Download the Okta Verify app via one of the following links
    1. iPhone App
    2. Android App
  2. Using your browser, navigate to the NDW Login Page
  3. Fill in your NDW credentials and click Sign In.
  4. Click the Set up button located below the Google Authenticator option
     

  5. When prompted to enroll in Okta Verify, open the Okta Verify app, click Scan a QR Code, and scan the barcode that on the NDW Login page
  6. Select to either receive a push notification in the Okta Verify app or enter a numeric code to finish logging in.
    1. If you choose the push notification, then approve it when it arrives on your phone.
    2. If you choose to use the code, then access the code in Okta Verify, enter it into Enter code field on the NDW login page, and click Verify.

You can only register Okta Verify on one device at a time. Authenticating on a second device cancels authorization for the first one.

Logging In with Okta Verify

  1. Using your browser, navigate to the NDW Login Page
  2. Fill in your NDW credentials and click Sign In
  3. Use Okta Verify to complete authentication either by confirming the push notification in the Okta Verify app or entering the code from the Okta Verify app into the NDW platform when prompted

Hardware Key

If you have an existing physical authentication key compatible with Okta, you can choose to connect that to your NDW account to enable MFA. 

Okta supports universal second factor (U2F) keys including YubiKey and Google’s Titan Security Key. If you already use one of those, then selecting this factor in Okta lets you to stick with the program you already know.

Authenticate using a Hardware Key

  1. Using your browser, navigate to the NDW Login Page
  2. Fill in your company-issued credentials and click Sign In.
  3. Click Setup under the Security Key or Biometric Authenticator option
     

  4. Find your security key and follow the prompts to set it up. Instructions may vary depending on the device you choose to use.
  5. The next time you sign in, you’ll see a panel with instructions for signing in via your security key.
