We're excited to introduce a new look and feel of the Nasdaq Dorsey Wright platform that will be released on September 30, 2024. This update is part of the effort to modernize the NDW platform, and we think it will improve our user experience and your ability to easily find the information you are looking for. Here's a look at what's new and what it means for you:
Updated Toolbar
We are updating the toolbar of the platform to feature a lefthand toolbar instead of the current top toolbar. This change will allow us to devote a greater percentage of the screen to the actual content.
The arrow in the bottom left corner allows you to expand and collapse the toolbar, allowing you to reduce the amount of the screen devoted to the toolbar even further.
Improved Search
Our new search functionality will allow you to not only search our entire database of charts but also see trending securities and easily access securities you have recently searched for.
Additionally, you can use this new search functionality to find more than just charts. As shown below, you can easily access Models, Portfolios, Matrices, and more.
We have also added the ability to search for Daily Equity Report articles from anywhere on the platform so you will no longer have to navigate to the Daily Equity Report to access the NDW analyst team's opinion on the market or certain securities. This feature will also provide you with a list of trending articles so you can easily access the reports currently receiving the most attention from NDW's users.
Importantly, these added features will not impact your ability to simply type a ticker into the search box and hit enter to navigate directly to the chart. However, we think they will improve your ability to access charts you are interested in, charts other users are interested in, and the NDW analyst team's opinion on the market.
Better Knowledge of Context
One of the main goals of our navigation enhancements is to improve your knowledge of where you are in the platform, how you got there, and how to get back there again. Part of our solution for this is adding a dynamic breadcrumb, which will allow you to more easily see the section you are in and the sub-navigation options available to you.
Simplified Menu Options
This upgrade also allows us to make some of the toolbar options more dynamic to improve your ability to find the latest information each day. For example, under the Research tab, while the Morning Update Video and Daily Equity Report will be evergreen options, we will highlight the latest ETF reports so you can easily access the latest information. The below example shows how this menu would appear on Thursdays when the Franklin and iShares reports are published. The remaining ETF reports will be accessible under "Other Research Reports" and will be featured on the day they are first published. We have also elevated Bookmarked reports to the main research menu so you can easily access reports you have marked for review.
